Went in for a first-time appointment today and walked in on Joan the receptionist having a casual conversation w/someone sitting in the lobby; she didn't make eye contact w/me or say anything as I stood at the counter waiting to be helped. She just kept on talking, then answered the phone, so I sat down.

One star is more than this place deserves...

A very wonderful and caring staff. I really love Rachel... Friday she went out of her way to help me. Thank you Rachel...

I love this vet! Dr David treats my goats for me and makes home visits for me if needed!

I'm new to the area and wanted to get established w/a local vet. I took time to call several places in the area and check out online reviews to get a feel for prices and quality of care before choosing to go w/Country Lane.

She actually stood back and looked at me like really? Then she rolled her eyes as she looked past me at the other lady seated in the waiting room. Her "southern hospitality" was not only demeaning, her overall attitude was completely rude and unprofessional!

A friend of mine has recommended that I make an appt for my 9 yr old Chihuahua Pinky, (male). Last summer I took him to Balsam animal clinic because he was infested bad with fleas. He is now infested again and I've found 3 or 4 ticks. They gave him a pill last summer. When I called this time they said I had to pay $45 office call just to get the pill. My question is do you charge an office call also to get the flea pill? Also they said to get his rabies booster when it's due there is no office call charge just bring him in and get the shot. So I don't understand why I have to pay $45 plus the cost of the pill. So I'm looking for another vet. Thankyou

I walked out. I'll take my business where its appreciated!

At this point I was totally put off by her and didn't feel welcomed or respected. I don't have time or patience for the lack of courtesy she displayed, and I'm certainly not going to pay to be treated that way.

She then hung up the phone and told me I'd have to fill out paperwork, proceeding to call me "sweetie" instead of addressing me by my first of last name.

I have always taken my dogs here since we moved back from the coast and even when my husband was deployed but this last visit I was kind of upset because I didn't feel I was being heard out fully. I ended up having to take them to another vet to get the correct medicine. So I feel I wasted a good chunk of money, but it happens. The staff is friendly though and I don't doubt the vets want to give good care but this last visit was a bust.
